Christine Costume questionI'm curious, it seems like Christine has a lot of fast costume changes...what type of hosiery does she wear scene to scene?
Does anyone know like what type of shoes/hosiery she has on in

1880.
for her costumes in the show, im not really sure, sorry
but your question made me think of something--did anyone notice in the movie how christine went to bed w/ stalkings on (@ end of Music of the Night) and woke up w/o them ?(i remember/stranger than u dreamt it)
that made me laugh so hard when i realized.
my friend said phantom was probably washing them for her, lol
sorry that was completely random and not helpful

I think in 'Think of me' the actress wears pale white/flesh coloured tights and over them a pair of dark green or black knickers (panties), these are worn underneath the Hannibal 'rope' skirt. This skirt is detatched after 'Think of Me' and Christine puts on the white dressing-gown, so her undergarments remain the same. In Hannibal, she's wearing pionte shoes which she changes in her dressing room during 'Angel of Music' to a pair of white satin heels. The pointe shoes have elastic 'ribbons' as real ribbons tied in the style of classical ballet would take far too long to undo. Hope this helps...xx

your washing joke reminds of something else:
What's the age gap between Christine and Phantom? When Christine arrived as a little girl, Phantom was already an adult. Lolita, eh?

Blame Joel Schumacher for that. In the movie, he's been watching her since she was a child. On stage, she's portrayed as around her early 20s, not sixteen and the Phantom has only been her teacher/Angel of Music for a few years.

But then again, the whole timeline of the movie doesn't make much sense. The flashback scenes tell us that Mme. Giry and the Phantom are only a few years apart. As adults they most certainly are not.

in the movie the ages/times dont really work, but in the play the phantom's supposed to be about 30yrs older (at most)--it varies b/c the phantoms age is never exactly known.
