Chip's CartJust out of random curiousity, how is the chip cart effect done? Is it a mirror?

What effect of the cart are you talking about?

Well, there is obviously a body, but the cart appears transparent.

See in ours the cart wasn't transparent so you must be talking about the actual production.
I'm sure it must be some kind of trick with mirrors or something. Perhaps a false back.
I don't remember much about what it looked like in the actual Broadway production as I was too distracted trying to ignore the excited and screaming 4 year old behind me.

In shows that I've seen done, you're correct--it's a trick with mirrors. A mirror is put at an angle so that it reflects the bottom of the cart, and that's what the audience sees. Then Chip just sits behind the mirror. Having never done this show myself, I'm not exactly sure how it's set up, so anyone else who's done it can fill in the blanks for me. I think it's pretty cool; you can tell it's a trick, but it looks pretty nifty when done well.

Hi,
Unfortunatly I've never seen B&B on stage. But I'm a magician, and what I think they're doing, by what yo've written, it's cube with a mirror at a 45º angle and it reflects the bottom of the cube. It's an old magic trick. Like people usually say: "It's all smoke and mirrors".
Could anyone tell me what other magic effects appear in the show, please.
I've one question too. In the B&B shows that you've seen, when the Beast floats in to the air, the wires can be seen???
Thanks a lot.
