Chicago at NJPACI promised some friends last night that I don't review the show anymore -- and I don't -- but I just wanted to say that if you get a chance to see the tour, do it!I can't believe what amazing shape the tour is in. I had an absolute blast, and honestly, it's the first time in a good long while that I actually TRULY enjoyed seeing the show. I can't think of a better way to have spent my birthday. |

How is Greg Evigan?
I know he just started... |
| Kev |
why the heck don't you review the show anymore? haha |

Urgh. I want to see this so bad.
Heather, do you think it would be a waste to pay $22 for 4th tier seating? Is the view that bad up there? |
| Linda |
if you are a student, the ticket price is $12!!! |

I dont review the show anymore because it's literally been a year since I saw it last and frankly, in that respect, I'm really over it.
Greg was good. He will get more comfortable in the role in time, but I really enjoyed his performance. 4th tier is high... I never realized how freaking HUGE NJPAC is! |

My mom called the box office and they said there will be no student rush for CHICAGO.
So that's why I am so mad. |
| Linda |
That really stinks about the student rush.
The upper tiers are NOT anywhere close to being sold out. You can see this for yourself. Go to njpac.org and try to buy a ticket for a performance, it will show which seats you can buy. It is kinda cool that way. You can see that in 3rd and 4th tier, they've maybe sold 30% of the seats way up there. Anyway... Your other option is to join www.njartstix.org It is free to join. When are you going to see it? Because of work, it looks like it will be a weekend matinee for me. |
| SupremeDiva |
I'll be there this weekend, Linda. Saturday matinee, front row. If you see me, come say hi! |
| Linda |
Again???? How did you swing front row? |
| SupremeDiva |
Yeah, I actually liked it enough to come see it again..... twice in one week after going a year without physically seeing the show (press reels dont count I'll probably be going again at the New Haven stop..... it is only 45 minutes north of me. As for front row, just luck of the draw I guess. I was front row the other night too. (but that was because I had a woman with very large hair sitting in the 4th row, right in front of me and I couldnt see a THING) |

No discount tickets for either performances today on NJArtstix.org so it's a no go for me. Maybe tomorrow... |

They DID have student rush!
Saw it today, and it was fabulous! I haven't seen Terra in about a year and a half, she really has improved Her singing voice sounds very similar to Ute Lemper's singing for Velma. I felt I was listening to Ute at times! Her dancing was great as always. Michelle has a lot more freedom in the role than she did last year. She gave a MUCH more memorable performance this time. Loved her. Man can that girl sing, or what? I love how she spoke to the people in the high tiers during her monologue! lol Greg was quite good. He will grow in the role. His "gun" note was impressive. I still haven't seen a Billy top Chris Sieber though. Chris was my first Billy. Carol Woods, well.. hmmm. She sure riffed the hell out of WYGTM. A little too much. She can really sing though. She can't top Roz for me. Ensemble was great. It's not a big deal, but the ensemble boys don't look as muscular and beefy as the Broadway boys lol. The girls were great though. The show was sooo fresh. Interesting to see slightly different choreography in numbers like CBT, and WVTTS. Had a great time. So glad I caught the tour! |

The tour is definitely in excellent shape.
Michelle has definitely grown in the role since the time Cindy and I saw Michelle go on as Roxie. First time seeing Terra, and I immediately thought Marlene Deitrich but with a softer side. I hadn't seen Ute; I would have but she left the show before her scheduled time never to return. Great seeing a Velma that can do the high kicks again in other words a dancer. Greg hit his stride as the show progressed. Not as smarmy as I would have liked but a solid effort. Kevin Carolan also excellent. Took some photos at the stage door but didn't get 2/3 of the cast since they left through a different door. |

I had no idea where the stage door was there, so I just left.
I would've loved to meet DeJean, I actually have never met her - I'm a big fan too. Nor have I met Terra.. |
| Linda |
Join the club. I've never met either Terra or Michelle either. |

Aww. Usually for me CHICAGO has the nicest casts to meet. I've had very good experiences.
Really hope to meet Michelle and Terra sometime, they seem like very lovely women. |
| Linda |
While I was waiting at the stage door, a group of people who knew Kevin C were waiting for him. Either he left before they go to the stage door or he left through another door just most of the others did. So, they never got to say "hi".
Today was probably not the best day to try to meet the cast since all of them were probably in hurry to get back to their apts in NYC and rest. Ah, well, if it was meant to be that I meet them then I would have. |

Terra was probably one of the sweetest cast members I've met at Chicago. Lovely in person, stunning on stage. |
