In your opinion, is Norma Desmond, more or less, a charming, sexy lady who's desperate for love and fame, or is she just an old, insane woman who's becoming older, and more insane, and more perverse, by the minute?

She's both, charming, beautiful, who had love and fame, and has lost it and is desperate to get things back to the way they were, but she doesn't realise just how desperate, lonely and sad she really is.

I wouldn't say she was perverse though
