Character suggestions?Hi,
I'm likely auditioning for a production of OUAM this summer, with a community company I've been with for four years (age range ... 8 through senior citizen). Any advice on what role I should try out for?
I'm a trained soprano with very little belt, a workable range of E3 to F6 (most comfortable between A3 and D6). My acting is all right, but limited (I've been cast by other directors/companies in "bitchy" roles before, but eventually I was told that I come off as "too nice" to be any good at them). I'm pretty good at picking up choreography, but my dancing is, again, limited. I'm 17 years old, 5'9", and somewhat thin but curvy.

Thanks for any help!

Go for Lady Larkin. It's a great role with some great songs.

Lady Larkin, definitely. She's very ingenue but has her sassy moments. (so if you've been cast bitchy, but play nicer, I think it would be perfect.
You could also rock a lady in waiting part.

I like the idea of Lady Larken, but also Rowena, Merrill and Lucille, the ladies in waiting.
