Okay forgive me if I sound hateful but does that mean if you don’t like someone you won’t invite them / let them join?

I was a member of the forum you had forever ago but you set it up to where you had to have a “master p/w” to be able to even get in. and even then it didn’t work half of the time.

What sort of things will be on the site? Will you be selling costumes or will there be tutorials etc? Will be interested to see it!

That really does sound hateful doesn't it?

And I just sold you stuff off Ebay and you were wiling to pay for it.

Yes, my site will have a "master password" to log in. I only want those who are kind to me to enter the site. So it will be a safe haven for some people ie, OLD FANS, who want to join me and not be bothered as well by other cruel fans. These OLD FANS worldwide wanted me to set up a safe haven so we could discuss what's important to us without ridicule.

Hey I just asked a question, and I said “forgive me if this sounds hateful” and you had to know that SOMEONE was going to ask, I just happened to be the first.

And yes, I did buy something from you off eBay b/c you just HAPPENED to be the only person I’ve ever seen selling THAT particular item. I, as does everyone, buy things that I like no matter who happens to be selling it.

Also I am and OLD FAN, I’ve been around here for a long time now but ya know what, you just have your little forum and your little group of friends b/c I’m sure it won’t be that different from the CCDB we have now. Just b/c you’ve worked professionally doesn’t give you the right to lord it over us or throw it in our faces. A REAL professional wouldn’t act like that, or at least not the ones who confidence in themselves. The only people who would say things like that are the ones who feel they have to prove something to everyone. Which is ashamed b/c you do do good work, I’ve never said that you didn’t, and I know that you could teach people a lot, but it’s your attitude that no one likes, as now I’m sure will be said about me after this post.

Good Luck

My dear, I wish you all the best in this venture, and I truly hope it works out. The only blue note in this is that private Forums have a tendency to remove people from the mainstream, and denies them the knowledge that your members could provide. Of course, lately, I have not been too pleased with the public Forums as well...

I have read some of your articles on costuming, and I had looked forward to seeing your step-by-step demonstration. When I went through classes for my college degrees, Costuming was never one of my strengths. I suppose I just do not have the patience for such tasks. My favorite crew was lighting, and now I am woefully out of date with the newer Intelligent instruments. However, Costuming is a vital part of theatre as Belle's signature attests. If you and your Forum do come up with ideas that could help out others, I hope they will be shared... After all, there are people who are interested in costuming who could benefit from your combined knowledge.

I hope your venture succeeds.

Looks cool! I shall be having a wee snoop round it once it's open Smile
Little_Nell

Sounds fun - I like a bit of costume making now and then! Shall have to have look...

It sounds great!! =^-^= I love looking at costumes though I've never made any yet because I'd probably screw it up and waste a whole lot of materials

Does that mean you have to know us to give us an invite to the forums? And what counts as an old fan? I've been one for 2 years now, when my website Felina's Jellicle World opened in 2004 ^_^

I for one sincerely hope she's not attempting to sell, since I and some others still may not have gotten over the huge scam Miss VTWC decided she was going to do some years back, by taking money sent and not sending out the items purchased.

I'll second that!

Another thing. I don't want to register at your forums to post this, because we don't particularly care for each other and I figure you'll just block me. In any case, I was looking at your BRATZ doll post, and I was thinking that if you can't find bare feet, perhaps you could figure out a way to cut or sand the heels off? Paint the feet, obviously, and it would look like she's standing on her toes? I don't know if she would stand that wya though

Just a note...

I really don't care if I'm on your good side or not. However I think it's extremely unfair and biased to just not allow some people to read your site. That information should be out there for everyone to benefit from, not just your favorite groupies.

Ahhh, this makes me laugh...

8. HAVE FUN! AND ENJOY! That's why these forums were created. To have fun and learn from each other. Not to hog all the info that's out there and have a "clique" mentality. Newbies are welcome, along with Jellicle Elders. Everyone have fun, and share with each other!

http://www.catscostumes.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2

Because the CCDB is obviously hogging information and is a clique because SOMEONE got banned. And the existing costumign sites like Lady J's wonderful site are clearly not sharing information!

Also, VTWC, you might want to look at this -

6. Avatars should be no bigger than 80x80 pixels. If you want to, just click "Save As" on my Admin Avatar up there to the left, save it to your hard drive, then open it up into a Paint/Photoshop program, and then alter it to your heart's content. Thats the fastest way to set up an avatar. Its already the right size, and that's the biggest they can be for this forum.

Since the avatar in question is 120x120 pixels! Even the filename says so!
Also the internet standard size for avatars is 100 pixels square... That's the size almost all avatar creators use. Pretty avatar tho.

Um . . . yeah, isn't that what this thread is?

Okay people, it seems to be just nitpicking going on here. If it continues I may have to lock the topic. Play nice everyone. Wink

While I might not agree with everything, it's a good forum I think. It's well organized....
and I really do not have much to say, so I'll go now...
