Cats with contacts?

Is this Dutch Plato wearing Cat-eye contacts? First time I've seen an actor do that... weird.

I noticed that when these photos first came out. Maybe he thought he needed to look more cat-like cuz his makeup sucks.... Rude, I know, sorry

His make - up does look a little pants compared to normal Cats.

Well, I can't imagine that those are his natural eyes. Laughing

kewl Smile but despite having a weak spot for all the furry/cathumanish it doesnt fit the show in my eyes(not in the sense of CATS, but more in slit eye versus normal... if this makes sense), maybe just my taste.
I hope he does not wear them during the show. A friend of mine has cat lenses and she says that after a while you get a real "walking through dense forrest" effect. Could be dangerous while dancing Wink

My guess would be that the contacts were just a one-off thing for the photo op. It was the premier, after all, he probably figured it would be fun. Smile

... Could also be a little bit of Plato flare. After all, Macavity / von Zonderen (sp?) rarely gets in on the group shot action, and that's a pretty flare costume. I'm pretty sure this Plato got some double takes in turn ;D

weird Shocked think it really doesn't fit with the show, but I also suppose he only wore those contacts for the photos.

I'm sure he didn't wear them for the show, since i've heard that cat eye contacts aren't exactly practical when it comes to actually seeing (kinda kills the whole contact point doesn't it?) probably just for the photo. I think it goes good with the whole cat idea, though I have to say his makeup is way too brown...it looks like he needs to clean the mud off his face.
Drumdraper

I think the guy is black.

i have to agree... the contacts look very...off!

I always thought having normal eyes made the cats from CATS more human, and less freaky. Also made us able to see their emotions more. eyes hidden under contacts don't show as much expression. IMHO.

just for randomness:
OMG a speaking homepage...
please let me never hear something like that again. Doesnt mean its bad or not good.... its just... I think I have just found another add for my "things that give me rabbies" list.
