It is a bit unusual, isn't it? I think it's the lack of eyebrows on the makeup, and the fact it's not as stripe-y as one would usually expect a Munkustrap to be.

He's quite handsome, though! I do like the wig.

The wig and make-up remind me of a jester. Without the eyebrows and lack of stripes, Munkustrap appears less serious and more of a fun kind of second in command.

I really, really love it...I agree that maybe other munk designs are more cat-like, but I dunno...this seems more wacky and just a bit more fun. Thumbs up from me!

Sorry. Not my thing. The hair reminds me of a '90s boy band. And yeah, the makeup doesn't look serious or mature enough for the protector of the tribe, he looks too kittenish.

yeah too kittenish. not Munku at all. but it is a nice design. just for a kitten it would work better. I'm in between hating it and loving it.

Ehhh, I'm not too keen on it. He needs more details... eyebrows and stripes. He just looks too plain. The wig is.... different. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I'm anxious to see what the other characters look like.

The wig is certainly different and unusual, I don't mind it too much although he does look a tad...chipmunkish! I could warm to it though.

Makeup wise I agree. Not impressed. Add the eybrows and a few stripes and we are getting somewhere! That's the main touch up it needs to improve, I think.
Otheriwise, very interesting indeed.

The actor's rather nice! I'm liking how they're doing something different - and I think I like the wig - but I'm not reallying getting "CAT" from these pics. Animal, yeah, probably, but there's not much that's feline about him. Maybe once he's in full costume, part of the ensemble, and in action, there'll be enough of a feline vibe, but I'm not getting it just from these pics.

I'm dying to see what they do with the rest of the tribe tho!

While the actors very good-looking *drools, sorry Mistoteazer!*, I'm not really liking anime/manga Munkustrap. I'm not going to say that I really don't like him until I see him in full costume on stage with the others. And yeah, he's definatly boy-band looking and way too kittenish. And I would cry if they changed Munkus to a kittenish character. Send more pictures when they're available, whoever finds them! Please!

very unusual doesn't seem very cat like to me, and a bit kittenish (makes me think of a Pouncival, don't ask me why ) ... but it's hard to make an opinion on only one picture. Can't wait to see the complete costume.
