I SWEAR I DIDN'T FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!

I was gone for quite a few months but I am back!! I think in my last post in like MAY I told you all that I would get my school CATS pictures up... well, once I figure out how to DO that on here I will! haha I have a TON but will only post a few of the best ones. Now, BEFORE you look at them let me tell you we had A LOT of problems with costumes. We hired a professional theatre company that we have used in the past but this year THEY SCREWED UP BIG TIME!!!! I was Bombalurina and when they sent the discription of the cosutme they were going to make it was EXACT to what we wanted it to look like, RED!!!! Ok, what we got ONE WEEK BEFORE PERFORMANCE was BLACK AND WHITE LIKE A FRIGGEN ZEBRA!!!! Anyways, we went with it. If you had never seen CATS then it was awesome because you had no idea what the costumes were supposed to look like anyways but if you knew, you were sad. They still looked good, it just wasn't what we wanted. BUT our set rocked! haha Anyways, without further ado.... PICTURES!

The pictures look great!!! The cast photo is neat!!!
How wierd though that they managed to do Bombalurina zebra-coloured if you sent a description, and after all they only need the tiniest bit of research to get her red. Strange.........
Oh, to me Anastasia looks like Tumblebrutus!!!! <3

That could be very well who she is... I couldn't remember and I didn't have my Cast list or Program here... I think you are right though...

Looks like whoever made the costume went "well, we could make the unitard and then paint it read and all this pattern - or we could use the zebra print we got right here. That'll do!"

It'd have been interesting if they'd put the typical Bomba red over the black and white zebra? leaving a white bib, but otherwise going for red and black. Still, I love the makeup designs! There do seem to be a lot of difficulties getting companies to do even a little research when making Cats costumes.

Yeah, that's exactly what we figured... because this is the first time this company had done cats and so they told us they were making all of them new for us. Our school did Children of Eden a few years ago and we are PRETTY sure Bomba's costume was one of the zebras from then because it FOR SURE wasn't new. But for those people who don't know CATS that well didn't know the difference. So for all intensive purposes it worked.... disappointing, but worked.

You look scarily like Marlene Danielle in that first photo. It's not the wig, it's the makeup. Add a bit of red and yellow and you'd probably be a dead on match.

Haha! It's funny that you say that because that is not the first time I have heard that. When they were doing makeup rehearsals before we got the horrid costumes so we did the real makeup it was uncanny...

I have some other really awesome Cast ones.... that was just the one I chose to put on. This one is pretty cool too. Very dark. But cool. It is during the choir part of Jellicle Songs



This one is also pretty neat for lighting. It is someone coming through the big tube thing that we used as one of our entrances.

Ohh, I need to find this one picture.. It's absolutly gorgeous but I don't have it..

It is of the tire raising to bring Griz up and the lights look AMAZING!!!! When I locate it, I will post it.

The picture with the tube is amazing ! The costumes are obviously not looking like what you wuold expect when you know Cats, but for a school production they are really great I hope you all had a lot of fun doing the show.

Hey Beautiful Dreamer, do you ever go to the Cats Costume Discussion board if you do costuming?
That Macavity costume looks insanely awesome...and you do remind me of Marlene in that picture!
