Arrrghh, those markings are so familiar... who is it? I've sketched out those markings before. A long while ago. Is it a faded Jellylorum? Maybe not... I KNOW I've copied those shapes!

Late 80's/early 90's Skimbleshanks, mayhaps?
Definitely looks earlier-ish, with those bold zig-zaggsy stripes. I'm diggin' the stripes, really And the £10 is only a starting bid, it does not meet the reserve pricwe which is probably a considerable amount higher. Ah, but t'would be nice, huh? |

To me, it looks like an older, faded version of my Coricopat Lodn costume. I don't think it's that last one, Mumstype. That's lighter, and has more stripes. Plus, that's fanmade. Skimble, maybe, but I don't think so.... Belles suggestion of Jellylorum could be possible......

Thankyou, Mumsy, for plugging my costumes at EVERY opportunity... The markings are so, SO familiar, the triangle at the waist, a heavy stripe, then three strong thin stripes... I wish I could remember! I possibly drew it because there weren't photos of it - so is it perhaps a swing costume? Anyone want to get it for me for christmas so I can puzzle this close-up? |

The seller says it's from 1996.

Yes, it's a 96 costume, I asked him to look at the feet and tell me what it said but aparrantly the name has 'washed off'
EH? that must have been because they use fabric markers that are permanent then and don't wash out as they are washed roughly 5 times a week! lol! I am pretty sure it's one of the twins though, as Jellylorum had a full neck then.I just hoped he would give us a name such as Cassie Cowan, Chris Copeland, Tee Soo-Chan etc etc, that would have let us know the rough size too! |

thing that's bugging me is that the mid-90s twins were VERY clearly the twins, the patterns just as the video etc...
http://www.bellesdomain.co.uk/cats/brochures/l95_11.jpg That's 1995, the 1996 brochure's in a pile waiting to be scanned... and while that unitard looks like it could be one of the twins, it's not so obvious, which it would be if it was.... if that makes any sense? |

Could it possibly be a Carbucketty costume ? No time to check in my brochures to clear that up... anyway, gorgeous costume but as I always say : not enough money |

It has to be one of the twins, as they had scoop necks, but what bugs me is the fact that the seller says there are no names on the uni, which leads me to believe it's either a) been neglected and washed in something other than washing powder and so the colours were faded and the lycra has spoiled or b) it was a swing cossie for the twins that had been 'passed down' several times, however I do remember David Olton and Tee Soos first cossies looking slightly less black, russet and white but more caramel and mahogany with black markings then they became very bold in the November cast change with the silver grey lycra base.I also remember a very light swing Cassandra cossie in that cast before someone found the correct paint for her, bless! *shrugs* either way without knowing who wore it, I'm not too bothered about bidding, lol! whoever does win it on this board MUST tell us all! |

I STILL want it! But from the technical, construction side of owning a uni, rather than whose it was.
I'm not convinvced about it being a twin, unless it was a really, REALLY old swing that was finally retired in 1996? |

I have a US late 1980s Skimble unitard from either the an early US Tour or from the mid 1990s Broadway. Either way Eric Scott Kincaid wore it and his name was written on small rectangle piece of canvas. It's about an inch and a half long and 1/3 tall. It's sewn right the right shoulder clasps so the actor can't feel it. I asked the seller if there was a tag like this on the unitard, but he said that they wouldn't have sewn a tag into the costume because it would have been itchy.
As for the condition of the unitard, my Skimble costume is over twety years old and it's see through whenever I put it on. Still a beautiful costume, but if the name rubbed off on the foot is any indication then this unitard might be worn the same. I can tell the bidding will be a nightmare on this unitard. We're all hungry for Cats memorabilia/ |

WOW! £185!!! That's, what - $300 maybe?
The winning bid for my Final Lodnon cossie was £205, much newer and knew who wore it.... Maybe its the mystery of who did wear it that makes people want it.... Maybe this is the right time to sell a Cats cotume.... Mines is the full thing, except for Wig. I haven't looked at it in months... Its in a crate, under my bed...... But I don't want to sell it.. How oftendo you guys look/play with your costumes (if you have one)? |

I don't think it will go overly high.
This one doesn't interest me enough for the big money. If one came up which I did especially want or just have more interest in then I'd probablly shell out far more. |

Whose do you have Misto? A Corciopat? I play with mine about once a week just to look at them. |

Pictured there. The Cassie gloves are just there for reference. I think Spatz won them... It was worn on the final london performance (11th May 2002) |

My unitard and wig are stored away but when I am home from Uni etc I tend to get them out a bit, especially to keep the dust off! |
