AGH! IT WAS IN SPANISH! I have SO been wanting to see it in Spanish...wow..I need to brush up on spanish....it's embarassing to be hispanic and you're forgetting the language you grew up with ^_^; Once I do, I shall drag mein mutti to the airport, go to Madrid, and see Cats...that Mistoffolees looked cute...yes he did..I'll shut up now lol...Roxanne is right. The woman with hardly no make-up on was talking about her own two cats. She said that they are very nice and are like brother and sister. Cassandra (was it her?) was talking about something being very funny.
That's all I could translate!

Right... lemme see, it's a bit long to translate word by word but as a general idea there is this blonde woman that tells us that there was Cats in Madrid (now they have finished, so this video is a bit old, maybe from the beguinings...I guess). So she goes backstage and first of all she talks with the make-up guy, he puts her the make-up of Bombalurina. Then he says that all the actors learn to put their make-up on at the end, although it's quite hard at the beguining, they can reach a speed of 10 to 15 min sometimes. (That is on the guy's opinion). Then, when the woman is ready they go up to the change rooms where three girls are putting on their make-up, first of all talks the girl Demeter and she explains a bit of her role and the story of the Heavyside Layer "Paraiso Jelico" in Spanish. Then talks the girl who is being Tantomile and she says that she is one of the siamese twins, and that they both are the cats who more or less can foretell before than the rest when something is going to happen. At last talks the girl who is Cassandra the Egyptian cat as she says, and she also says that Cassandra is like 200 years old I think (I don't remember well the number, I'm not good at that...sorry)

The girls say that if they have a good day they can finish their make up in half an hour, one hour on the worst of cases.

That is a general idea. And as you can see, in our musical is Jemima instead of Etcetera the one on the (how do you say in English "trapecio"? any latin speaker there, please help). In fact we didn't have Etcetera.

I finally get in watching the Basel video.
Am I the only one to think that the images from the show are from the Berlin production ? Sillabub is Leah de Los Santos and not Marides Lazo I think, and Misto seems to be Ben Tyrell. And Jack Rebaldi, who's Munku, also played the part in Berlin.

Oh my, these two videos are so beautiful! I'm keep being amazed by what you guys can find in the Internet! I'm so sad that I can't find a way to save Roxanne's spanish clip. Funny, I understood some parts of it but not everything.
