I know this my be stupid as this is a CATS fan board..but in real life are you a Cat or a Dog person, and do you have either one?

I am definitely a Cat person..I used to have a Cat and hope to be getting a Kitten soon, I also have a Dog..who is adorable but a pain at times..I generally prefer cats though..they are so classy and mysterious! Thats probably partly to blame for my attraction to the musical!

I'm definately a cat person. I don't take to dogs too well. I do enjoy puppies, though.

Actually, I'm more of a hedgehog person.

Even though I like cats and have one of my own, I pretty much prefer dogs.

Cats. But I do love dogs...espeically pomeranian's! I prefer cats because they are very independent, and you don't have to house train them like puppies (which is what I am doing right now)

Dogs. Big, happy, non-rat dogs. My family has the greatest dog, a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. He's a big exuberant wonderful creature who devotedly protects us from the mailman. Cats are cool, too, but because of this one wonderful dog, I think I'm really a dog person. My hetero-lifemate is allergic to both cats and dogs, though, which is really unfortunate for him when he comes over and has to put up with our dog shedding all over the place and trying to rub up against him.

Although we usually have both - a cat and a neurotic dachshund, I am usually a CAT person. Our present one - Jamie - is a sweetheart and a schmoozer.

*sigh* Difficult to answer, but I went with dogs, because I've got more of an affinity with them. I love them, they love me, but you have no idea how many times I tried to strangle another kid for even joking about hurting a cat not long ago. I admire and adore cats, but the only ones I seem to get along with are my own- and one of them is a nutjob and is more like an extremely neurotic dog than a cat...

We've never had anything but cats at my house, and I can't imagine having a dog. So I had to go with cats.

Cats, hands down.

I just can't handle the unconditional love of anything when I don't feel I've done a thing to deserve it short of continuing to inhale after each exhale. affectionate dogs make me excedingly uncomfortable. Tiny, hyper, or otherwise unpleasant dogs make me think of skeezy chinese take out, heavy vehicles or cleated shoes.

Hearty disdain and unabated spite? Litterbox duties and all, apparently I'm good with that.

Cats, although I don't mind dogs and particularly like the more lupine breeds.
I share my home with two of the former, Tiger, who lives up to both hers and perhaps Bombalurina's names, and Lupin, seems to be utterly convinced that the outdoors are somewhere to live in great fear, and that anyone sitting at the computer is a sort of pillow with a pleasant sound-system (she's sitting on my lap as I write this - she seems to find the soft hum of the modem soothing).

Cats. Definitely cats.

I have my reasons though, cats are the only animal I'm tolerant to. Anything else with fur or feathers has the potential to trigger a fatal allergic reaction. Dogs are among my worst offenders.

If I ever *STOP* having cats for longer than 6-8 months (the time it takes for the dander to completely clear) I will lose my tolerance and can never have them again.

Right now I have three, my preferred number though is one or two for the reasons stated above.

That sounds really bad! I didn't realize you could be so allergic to animals.

As for me, I would say I'm a cat person. I've never had a cat, but my friends have cats, and whenever I come around cats they have this tendency to absolutely love me. I have no idea why. One of my friends has 5 cats or so that live in her house and whenever I come over they're all over me.

I chose dogs. Probably because we've had 2 (well, 4, but only two who lived long enough to be counted) dogs, but never a cat. Cats are too independent. Or atleast that's the image I've gotten, since I never really had one. Dogs are stupid enough to be happy everytime they see you .

CATS ALL THE WAY!!!! I like dogs, too, but big ones are kinda scary! And they smell a bit...
