I saw Cary in the role about a month ago. I thought he was the worst Roger i have ever seen in the role. his breath control was horrible and he had no "power" in his notes.
of course, did see the show with Adam Pascal a number of times so it's hard to get anyone to sound that good...
i'm just sayin!!!

I really liked Cary when I saw him, I think it was last year. I'm excited to see him as Roger again.

Well, I'll make up my own mind when I see it. More often then not, I like performers that most other people don't so much. Not sure why, I think I just have lower standards on that sort of thing.

to be honest, i hope it works out for you liking him. in all honesty, i thought he was the weakest performer in the show. worse than ensemble guy #4... hehehehe....

I saw the show for the first time over the weekend. It was AMAZING.
The only cast member, who was not there, in all irony of this topic, was Cary Shields. I got to see one of his understudies, Jay Wikinson. Jay was pretty good.
That Justin Johnston though, who plays Angel, was INCREDIBLE. <3
