Cast RecordingsSo, I just listened to the 92 'New' recording, and I have to say I'm dissapointed. What does everyone else think of it?Personally, I might be happier if I heard it earlier, but I already have the Original London, Australian and Bochum Live recordings, and love them so much. It seems like the new Pearl sings Make Up My Heart much lower than Nickki Blesher or Lovette George do, and Next Time You Fall In Love lower than Danni Kersley Woller and Jo Gibb. I still want the other two Bochum recordings though. |

I can't stand the "new" London recording - i don't like most of the cast, the song selection, the orchestration, or the recording quality! I prefer every other recording of Starlight.
http://www.bellesdomain.co.uk/stexrec.html I've got a page on my site about the different recordings with my opinions. |

Re: Cast Recordings
I hate it! It's so ridiculous. I love the show, I've seen it once but unfortunately the 92 London is the only CD I have |

I don't mean to veer off topic but please could I mention something? I'm thinking about buying a copy of the remastered 1984 cast album but can't find it on the American Amazon. I do hope that it isn't out of print in the US like some of the other remastered Lloyd-Webber cast albums... | ||

Any idea why the Broadway cast didn't record an album? There were some major revisions to the score when it hit Broadway and toured around the US/Canada.

The universal answer to all questions: Money.
They figured it wouldn't sell well enough, so they didn't bother. |
