Can anyone tell me anything about this show. I know the basic plot but a character breakdown and voice parts would be great! If you have ever done it I really want to know about the part of Mr. Schlegel and Jacquot, which one is bigger and which one is more fun.

I don't really know much about Carnival, other than that it's based on the film, Lili, and that the adaptation is quite free and incorporates a completely new score. I think that both parts you mentioned are baritone parts, but I could be mistaken.

I am in need of serious help because this is defintety or Spring Musical now and I have auditions on the 11th so if someone could give me some background into characters it would be amazing.

My school did this. It was pretty cool. I don't know the show that well, I only saw it once, but there's a fairly available cast recording I think. I've seen it at Barnes & Noble.

. It's funny because I don't remember much of the plot, but I can still remember my entire song in German.

Jacquot is a slightly bigger role than BF Shlegel. I think I still have the script around here somewhere. If I find it, I'd be happy to answer your questions. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

Thanks Frizzball724 thats really what I wanted to know. If you do find your script could you tell me if Jacquot ussually controls some of the puppets even though I am probably going to go for BF Schlegel I want to learn more about both characters before I make any definite decision.

Yes. He controled two of them in my show and did voices (I think he did Renardo and Horrible Henry and Paul did Margeurite and Carot Top). The only scene he didn't do the voices was in the scene where Lilli is climbing up the ladder and about to jump. Our director wanted that to be all Paul for artistic reasons.

Can you go for both roles?

we have to choose who to read for but I think I am going to sing Jaquet's song because Humming is not an option and then if the director wants me to read for Jaquet he will ask but schlegel sounds like a really fun role and more my style especially in high school I always get cast as the older person.

Carnival is such a fun show. It's not my favorite musical, but it is pretty fun.
Lili- Soprano- orphan... about 16-20
Marco- Baritone
Paul- Tenor (maybe a high baritone)
Jacquot- baritone
Rosaline- alto
Schlegal- Baritone

Jacquot is definitely a bigger role than Schlegal. He has an awesome dancing solo.

Humming is an AMAZING song. It's one of my favorites!
