How do you pronouce it? Do you say care-uh-mel, or car-mul? Or something altogether different? It's an ongoing debate I've been having with friends. They all think I'm funny for pronouncing it care-uh-mel...

well i say it both ways so i jsut picked the third option. I say it care-uh-mel when I am talking baout the candies and say car-mul when asking for the topping

That's kind of me as well, becuase when I say, like caramel apples, I pronounce it car-mul.

aww. that's sad. You don't even like Milk Maids or whatever they're called? Or sugar babies? Or Milk Duds? I love caramel. It's wonderful. Oh, and if you ever get a chance, try the white chocolate/caramel/espresso (or some sort of coffee) cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. It's really good, and it tastes more like coffee than caramel anyway...

I used to pronounce it car-mul, when I lived in Georgia.

Now that I live in Southern California, though, I go out of my way to say care-uh-mel.

So as not to look like a high, naturally.

I voted for the first option...but it's not every day I talk about caramel.... I usually will say it either way, but most of the time I pronounce it care-uh-mel.
