Can some one help?I have to write a paper for art 101, and I need help choosing a piece to do it on. I have it narrowed down to four paintings.

I can't really see the second one, but maybe that's just my internet connection here...

If you cut and paste the link into your search browser, the image comes right up. I really like it the best...

Number 2 gets my vote.

The second one is best, followed by the first. The fourth is nice but everyone will be doing it because it's the busiest, and the third isn't that interesting.

Number four gets my vote, looks really nice

I think that number 4 is the best picture to use.

2 or 4 look the most interesting

I'd say number one. It's not a very busy painting so it would be easy to keep simple and you wouldnt be overwhelmed with having to analyse a large group of figures. Yet, it has a lot of details which are just oozing symbolism (hard to comment on without knowledge of the artist and whoever the portrait is of though) which you could write pages and pages about.
Also consider the artists, maybe a different artists style would be more interesting or easy to write about.
Hope my opinion helped, best of luck with the paper.

I decided on #1, not that I didn't take into account what every one was saying, but I think it had more symbolism that we had been learning and it was just really pretty.
