callback!Hey guys, I just got a callback for Laurey! There are TONS of other awesome theater major-types auditioning for Laurey, but my director really like my audition! Thanks to everyone for their great advice.

Ok, well, the dreaded cast list came out today, and I got some random chorus role...this is kind of disappointing since I had a really good audition, but the directors said that I was just too young for the role.

I cant remember was this a regular production or high school? and how old are you?

This is not a highschool production, and I'm 18---the girl who was cast as Laurey was around 26, and the Curly was around 35, which makes sense, since they need to be close in age.

Aw I'm sorry!!! You were doing so much homework on it too! But now down the road you'll be able to audition for it again and get it!!! And you should have fun in the chorus, it's generally a pretty fun show

Actually, that doesn't always have to be the case. In our production this year, I was 19 and our Curly was 47 (although he could definitely pass for his early thirtees!) Our Ado Annie was 26.
