I auditioned for a local professional production of "Brigadoon" and the director said she wanted to call me back for Jean.

Can someone please give me a good character breakdown? I've looked all over the Internet, but I figure there'll be more experts here.

Kiwi

Jean is primarily a dancing role. She's very sweet and rather reserved, except in the song "Jeanie's Packin' Up," and she is very much in love with Charlie. Harry Beaton is in love with her, and she pities him but of course doesn't love him back, which is what causes all the "conflict" in the show.
