WOO! start rehearsing for this next week! cant wait!!!! I'm so excited I havent done a show since October this has been the longest time I've had off in 5 years so i've been really looking forward to this as I've missed performing so much!!!

I've only seen the movie. I didn't know there was an actual stage show. I thought it was a movie musical.

no theres a stage show alrighty.....its an adult production and im only 18 all the people with parts are older... i nearly got susan but the women that wud have got calamity was ill on the audition day so couldnt sing, so to be fair and to keep her in the show, she got susan.

erm so anyway im gona hopefully be a dancer now!!! cant wait!!!

I played Calamity a couple of years ago and loved it. Its a great role and a really fun show. The chorus men get more to do that the chorus women but it is set in a town where there are no women [or very few].

Ye I hear their isn't much for the chorus to do iof your a women. I hope I get to be a principle dancer so I'll have a little more to do. My friend got Katie Brown and were well giddy!! Is there any little one liners or solo lines in songs for women randomers? lol..........Those pictures are awesome!!

There's a fair amount for women and if your show lets Adelaide sing her song with the girls not just the men, you'll have fun doing that [some do some don't].

Aww I hope we do adelaides song with the girls, i think we should as the dancers are usually a main centerpiece in our production as we alway win awards for our dancers.... I'll let you know how it all goes n hopefully post some pics!!

Rehersals are going great I got offered the choice of being a saloon girl dancer or a prospector so i chose a prospector thes are basically men dancers and the men we have arent all great dancers so we are dressing as men throughout... which is godd because as you say there is tons for men to do and lots of dialouge going on! the plus side is i get the best of both worlds as I get to dance too aswell as be in all the numbers! I m loving doing the song "Adelaide" with the men, Im singing the tenor line its great I love it!

Its opening night on the 23rd of May, its getting closer hehe im actually having a good time at the moment, at first i was a little bored im not use to being just in the chorus you see, but i think the director saw this so im now doing the little cameo part of Pete lol so it goes to show it pays not to be picked as a dancer sometimes and being a man is pretty cool, i keep getting shouted at for being too girly and if you knew me you would understand and laugh at the thought of me having to be a man lol im the pinkest blondest girliest girl you'd meet lol, its fun though the challenge hehe. i still want your pics posting and i'll put mine on as soon as we have some hehe xxx

Calamity opens tomorrow and im so excited, we did a dress rehersal yesterday and the set and costumes are really good and everyone is amazing now that its all come together, cant wait until tonight with the orchestra!!!

Opening night was amazing!!! we had a really amazing audience it was almost a full house which is so unusual for a first night! I cant even tell you how good it was!!! im so pleased and proud to be a part of it!!! And i'll definately put pictures up soon!!!
