Cher and Christina Aguilera are lined up for a new movie musical called Burlesque. An article in Variety told us that the film would tell the tale of "an ambitious small-town Iowa girl with a big voice who comes of age in a neo-burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard that’s run by Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to shine". BroadwayWorld adds that, along with Stanley Tucci and Kristen Bell, "(Alan) Cumming is set to play the club's gender-bending host and master of ceremonies". Typecasting, perhaps?

Sounds like it could be a hot mess, but I'd see it!

I actually love Christina, so I would probably see it. Plus, I love Stanley Tucci and Kristen Bell too!

It DOES sound like it could be a hot mess, but it could end up a fun guilty pleasure movie.

It's just been announced that Eric Dane (McSteamy in Grey's Anatomy) will play Christina Aguilera's love interest in the film.

Here's to at least one great (at least) shirtless love scene between the two of them!
