Broadway Musicals You've Seen

I'm truly sorry if this has been posted recently here or on another board.

I've only seen The Lion King On-Tour (Gazelle Company), but hope to see Wicked, Tarzan, and The Little Mermaid when it comes out!
Sweeney Hyde

What is recently? I'll just list all the B'way shows I've seen.

Little Shop of Horrors
Fiddler On the Roof
Wicked
The Drowsy Chaperone

I hope to see Mary Poppins over the Spring and see something else, Company?, in the summer.

Most of the shows I've seen are national Tours or Regional.
krisavalon

Wicked, JC Superstar (twice), Beauty and the Beast, Working, Children of Eden, Phantom, Bye Bye Birdie (community production). I'd like to see The Nutty Professor, if it ever sees the light of day.

I see a lot because I live relatively close to NYC. Most of these aren't with original cast, though. I only began going to see shows frequently in the past year or so, when my mom got a job raise.

Les Miserables (Original Revival Cast+Lea Salonga= OMG! AWESOME!!!!!)
Rent
Avenue Q
The Producers (Roger Bart and Gary Beach's summer return)
The Wedding Singer (OBC)
Wicked
Fiddler on the Roof (with Harvey Fierstien and Rosie O'Donell... that was cool)
Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King when I was 5 and 7, respectfully... can't remember a note.

I know I'm forgetting something but I can't think of what.

From January 2006-March 2007, I've seen 7 shows. I feel enourmously lucky.

Next: Hopefully The Pirate Queen or Les Mis again
ActingDude17

Just to clear up any confusion, I meant musicals on Broadway (or tours and regional). Just as long as it's part of Broadway.
Kaaatrina

Beauty and the Beast in NY Very Happy It starred Christy Carlson Ramono, who used to be on Even Stevens on the Disney Channel, and surprisingly she was really good.
xani

In NYC, RENT, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Spring Awakening.

On tour, The Lion King, Little Women, and Wicked (x2).

Also, I saw the try-out production of High Fidelity in Boston pre-Broadway, and the Boston sit-down of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

And I feel that Avenue Q should be included on this list, despite the fact that I saw it in London.

I've seen him go on for Steve(3) and Roger(4), and I'll go see it a fifth time to see him as Mark.

I feel so... under-exposed, haha.

I've seen:

Wicked (once on Broadway, once in Toronto)
Beauty and the Beast (once on Broadway, 5 times highschool, twice regional. 8 in total. I'm a freak.)

Next, I hope to see Phantom of the Opera in Toronto (it doesn't look like our group has enough people, though Sad), and some regional theatre. If I don't get cast, I'll definitely still see Les Mis: School Edition. I'm considering seeing Anything Goes (regional) just to see what I missed by not getting cast for it...

Shows on Broadway:
Wicked: The name says it all... absolutely Wicked show!
The Drowsy Chaperone: Quite funny, and very well done i really enjoyed it
Spamalot: Laughed out loud from the opening sequence all the way through! (people kept looking at me)
Hairspray: The most energetic thing i have ever seen (be it musical or other)

Shows in Melbourne:
Too many to mention really... but they were all really good! especially the G&S trilogy
The Virgin Wars: A musical written by my old singing teacher, just did a tour off Broadway (other musicals written by him include, 'Prodigal' and 'The people in your pocket') Fantastic shows dealing with issues... and with catchy tunes that poke fun at everyone Smile
bwayfan07

and i saw the lion king when i was like 10 in san francisco

Pretty puny list due to my family's horrible indifference towards the arts, but that's what movie musicals, cast recordings, and Youtube are for. Wink

ActingDude17

Guys...the topic of this thread is musicals you've seen on Broadway, National Tour, or Regional productions. Not High School or community theatre (or college or anything like that). I'm sure there are many great non-Broadway shows but the topic is musicals you've seen ON Broadway (or tours, regional, etc.).

BTW...I'm seeing Wicked and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in January! Very Happy
