breathing help.

Alright, so on Monday I have to perform a shakespeare monologue infront of 3 judges at my school, for this Shakespeare competition, and if I "win", I'll get to represent my school at the state competition. and so on..

ANYWAY.

I performed the monologue for my teacher today, & she said that the acting was excillent, that I just need to breathe a little better.

I'm pretty sure it was just nerves, because I do perfectly fine performing infront of hundreds of people on a stage... but when it's more one on one, it's a little nerve wrecking for me... Don't know why, but it just happens.

So does anybody have any special breathing techniques they use, that help them ESPECALLY when they get nervous?
Salome

I dont get nervous but a good way to breathe propperly is to lay down on your back and rehearse youre piece that way..you always breathe right on myour back. once you have it down..then stand and do it a feww times. you should breath from the belly not the chest.

Yhea, I usually NEVER get nervous.

So I don't know why now.
