Books for the Theatre

Name the best books or plays that every and any actor should ever read!

Audition by Michael Shurtleft

Reading any Tennessee Williams that I can get my hands on has proven beneficial to how I think as an actor and as a human being.

Also, I'm reading some Uta Hagen now. I'm pretty much in awe.

Audition is great too.

Ditto on Tennessee and Audition. I also say read, An Actor Prepares by Constantin Stanislavski, even though I've only read like three chapters. I have too many f*cking things to read.

I really like Audition and Complete Professional Audition by Daren Cohen and Michael Perilstein.
