Hi everyone! I was just recently cast as Billy Bigelow in my college's production of Carousel. Having just read through the script for the first time, its clear that this character is complex and will be a challenge do deliver well. I'm a bit nervous and really want to get a handle on the character.

I was wondering if you guys could share your thoughts on Billy Bigelow... maybe you've played Billy before? Seen a good portrayal of him? Any tips for understanding the character? Or just anything you'd like to say about Billy would be really appreciated. Thanks!
