BIG- the musicalHas anyone been in BIG the musical? Are there any parts suitable for a 16 year old, 5' 11'', baritone? Thanx!

Most definitely. There is the role of Derek (who is sixteen), and Young Josh (who is twelve, I think)... Oh, and Billy (who is the same age as Young Josh). It's basically the same as the film Big with Tom Hanks.

Well thank you again what_the_heck013! So far, you are the only person to respond! I guess thats why you're a "Broadway Legend!"

!Yea i saw it when i was about 9. I vaigly remember it. I remember the guy who played TOM HANKS' role though. I remember he sang A LOT and had an ALL OVER range. (but his character was pretty funny)
He would be a good role for your age!

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of Derek from Big? Does he sing at all or even talk? If so, how much? Thanks a million!

Derek just has one or two lines and appears in the carnival scene with Cynthia Benson. Other than that, he's just one of the kids.

To answer that question, WATCH THE MOVIE. It will help greatly.
About your resume... I would'nt put the choirs that you've been in under "Training". That's performance experience... I think. Unless it was a "choir class". Training would be vocal lessons and such. Karate would go under special skills. I honestly would'nt put the thing about Wicked or anything you plan to do. Only put things you've done.
Oh, and one more thing. At the bottom, put contact numbers of your various choir directors and karate teachers, etc.

I agree with all the above, except that I am ok with choir being under training. It fits better there than in "experience" IMO, when you're seeking a part in a musical.
If you've got any "boyish" talents, you might want to add them. I'm thinking of stuff like cartwheels, whistling, etc. Silly stuff that actors often put on resumes that is usually ignored but every now and again gets you remembered.

I agree to some extent. If its a school chorus I'd say put it under training-as they are learning ensembles obviously. If its a professional ensemble (one you are paid to perform in) I would say put it under experience.
I'd also take out most of the stuff under special skils. Usually in that section I list the languages I speak, languages I sing in, accents I am proficient in,instruments I play etc Things like Celeste mentioned are also good.
