Any suggestions for an uptempo audition song for Bet? This is for a teenager with a big belt auditioning for an adult show. Have to have a ballad, too, but have lots of those.

Uptempo songs she has sung recently include Shy, I Enjoy being a girl, Suddenly Seymour. In the past 2 years she has played Winnifred and Ado Annie.

This is for a director who has never heard her sing, so she wants to make sure she sings something big and memorable. He only knows her from his dance classes.

Yes, I know she's a belter, but what about "If I Loved You" from Carousel. It's one my favorite female ballads.

Any other suggestions? She has ballads already. She is looking for an uptempo song that will show off her voice (belter) but that is still in character as Bet.

She looks very young (she's 16), and since this is an adult show, she wants something that will project her as a little older.

She could sing Shy, but we feel like that is overdone. Would If My Friends Could See Me Now (Sweet Charity) work?
