Other.

My favourite song is always on every single compilation I buy:

"...and many more!"

If you don't get the reference, go to your record store and look.

Andy.
RainyCrystal

Anything that's not Pokemon.

Obviously not theatre, it has brainwashed at least 7 kids to think that there are even other songs out there besides the pokemon song.

Foolish mortals. Foolish.

nat915

You're joking, right?
Desperado

I am.

Pokerap > Main theme from first season...

Those other season's themes were teh suxx0rz
Eponine Girl

I'm not joking, it is seriously such an awesome song. Pretty much better than any snooty theatre music.

I have no idea what Desperado is talking about, the first theme song was the theme for the first season. The Pokerap moved in about three years ago, as well as Pokemon Johto and Orangle League Challenge (My personal favorite, being an Orange LEague Trainer myself).

I'm seriously serious, by the way.

I was joking about the Pokemon theme being the best song. The Pokerap is better. Remember at the end of the shows they'd rap the names of the pokemon?

Mewtwo, Tentacruel, Aerodactyl, Omanyte, Slowpoke, Pidgeot, Arbok, That's all folks!

That's all I can remember from that rap...I'm surprised I remembered that. God.

Why shouldn't you have remembered? THose are actually 8 great pokemon. Mewtwo has never been caught in real life, but Tentacruel is a stellar water/ poison type, Aerodactyl is a great combo of flying/ dragon/ fighting (woo!), Omanyte can turn into Omastar, Slowpoke is a decent psychic pokemon, Pidgeots and Arboks have decent all around skills.

But honestly..it's so dumb that some of you are still in the stage where you are afraid to admit that you dig it, so instead you diss it.
Desperado

That was my favorite. Haha - I feel like such a kid again.

Do you remember that one song... 2B A Master? It sounded like a fake Michael Jackson...then he said "Let the kid's sing!"

The lyric is "all the children say"

It goes

"I got to be the one the onyl one who can withstand the test and be the ebst and
Got to strive keep up the drive be a master of all pokemon

It takes a certain kind of skill and I won't stop until
One huindred fifty pokemon are mine
I must define the art of capture of all pokemon

2B A MAster
Pokemon Master
I will be strivin
to be the rgeatest master

ALL THE CHUILDREN SAY..."

as for the pokerap, I have a complete mind blank at the moment, all I can rememver is...

"I want to be the best there ever was
to beat all the rest yeah that's my cause

Charizard Alakazam Doduo machoke Venonat Hypno electabuzz Flareon
Oddish Nidoqueen Bellsprout Starmie
Nidoking Poliwhirl Rapidash Something

Catch em cath em gotta catch em all
Pokemon

I'll search across the land
look far and wide
release from my hand the power that's inside..."

didn't Justin Timberlake do some vocals for a pokemon song?
Psyches

Justin Timberlake?

hmm...

*thinks*

I know that a very well known pop writer who has written for Nsync, Backstreet Boys and BoyZone at one stage or another also did the original Series one pokemon theme and the Pokemon Johto theme.

And John Loefflor has collaborated with Nsync's musical director before for some of their albums.

(John Loefflor is the Musical Director for all thing's Pokemon Cartoon Series, including the 2BA Master Soundtrack that came out to tie in with the series finale).

It woudln't surprise me as The Music Department for WBKids is quite well known and influencial among the industry in america.

OMG I can't believe I know so much about Pokemon...

Please, just shoot me.
Desperado

I had The First Movie soundtrack - and Nsync was on it. They had Britney and Christina and 98 Degrees too. I don't think they did songs for TFM album - but took songs from their records and put them on this.
Psyches

All the songs on TFM Soundtrack were specifically written for the album.

For those of you who have seen the movie or read the book and then heard these songs you'll notice that each song applies to a theme or scene in the show.

Except M2M's song which was tacked to the album and the movie as publicity. they took shots form the movie and put them in the video clip and the band and movie supported each other's own fame.
Eponine Girl

Psyches, I used to think you weren't all that great, but you've proven yourself worthy.
Eponine Girl

Psyches, have you seen the first pokemon song from Japan?

http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=Bq2Fjh3x9Ls&search=Pokemon
Psyches

Yes...

I have some of the Japanese episodes on my pc and on dvd.

God bless Japanese exchange students and their giving ways.

I also have, as mentioned above, most of the sheet music.

And thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

Pokemonw as teh first of these crazes to hit the Western world. It's always going to have that special "First time" spark about it. It was the first. It took our monster themed collection series virginity.

Yugioh, card Captors, Zoids and all these other iles of crap have nothing on Pokemon.

Some of us were doing all three.

You could easily play Magic: The Gathering at lunch, go to wrestling practice at 3:15 til 5:00, then go to dance practice from 7:00 to 8:00 and grope all the titties you wanted. Even dude titties if you felt like it.

No need to stay in one category if you can do it all.

Evan, I heart you
Richytheactor

Hello My Opinion.

Can you really put a label of "Best song ever" on a single song seeing as there are so many great songs by so many fabulous artists of past and present. Personnaly i think it goes on what type of music you like perssonaly i like rap and would Rank Eminem in a higher place than someone like Nelly for example, But to get back to my point i dont think you can actually say one song is the best song ever.

Peace Out & God Bless
