Best song for auditioning for the part of Jekyll/HydeWhat do you think the best auditioning song to be Jekyll/Hyde would be?
I think it is either:
A Man Could Go Quite Mad (Edwin Drood)
or
Jasper's Confession (Edwin Drood)
(They both are basicly the same melody with different words)

"What is it about her" Lippas wild Party. A great song that reminds me alot of the music from J&H

I'd sing Farewell Good Angel. I got Chauvelin, because of that. But actually for Jekyll & Hyde Mollasses to Rum from 1776

I love Farewell Good Angel, that's a good song choice.

You should all really listen to those songs I suggested, the character basicly is a Jekyll/Hyde like character, one good personality, one pure evil.

Once again, agreed! ^^

Sweeney Hyde

"Epiphany" from Sweeney Todd gets the mood of Jekyll/Hyde perfectly

it gets hyde, but a bass baritone coldnt play jekyll and hyde... so it may not be the best

Anthem is rather overdone for J&H auditions. As in, three men sang it at the auditions. The part eventually went to the man who played Anatoly when the group did Chess, although he did NOT sing Anthem (figures, right?)

Jekyll/Hyde Audition SongI think Chess is a good choice for a show that's musically similar...though I believe "Where I Want to Be" is abetter choice for J/H simply becasue Anatoly at the time is struggling with the duality of his own feelings: being torn between accepting the good things in his life and facing the fact that he's only attained these good things becasue he's been useful to the Soviet machine.
I'm gonna go with something from the show when I audition. Either "I Need to Know" or "Alive"

Well if they have you bring two songs do Farewell Good Angel and do Last Waltz for Dixie from Civil War (the bridge in that song is the exact same melody for the bridge in this is the moment)
For all these years
I faced the world alone
and now the time has come
to prove to them I've made it
on my own
(now listen to LWFD and pay attention to this part)
For all we hold dear
the road ahead is clear
for all we have promised
the moment is here
