Best roles for a 17 year old girl?I am 17...but i can easily change how old I look. Alot of people think I look alot older. So I'm basically just wondering....what are the best parts for me to audition for? The theatre in my town is doing SG and I really would like to be in it. I have a mezzo soprano/soprano voice with a a range from f below middle C to C 2 octaves above middle C. I sing best from E above middle C to F 2 octaves aboce. I am 5 9 with an average build. I don't know a whole lot about this musical, so im not even sure what songs would be good to audition with. The director is really into classical music and hates pop and raspy/beltish voices...so im a bit worried about pleasing him with song choices, even though i am classically trained..

Martha would be good to go for. Other than that just chorus.

I agree with Martha. She is such a great role.
As for songs...I have heard of Lady's Maid from Titantic(the musical, not the movie) suggested before, but I have never heard it. Look at songs from older musicals, from before the 90's definately.
