Best Oliver! CD

When I was looking for an oliver cd, I found a lot of different years, casts, and places. Which version of the oliver cd is best? (most complete, sounds great, express characters best, etc.) Also, if there any that have karaoke tracks that you can use for auditions?

I'm not sure really. I've never found one where the entire cast has satisfied me. For example John Pryce is an amazing Fagin, while the Bill Sykes on that cd is terrible.

Im guessing the Original Broadway Cast, but I wanted to see what other people think, I havn’t gotten one yet.

The newer one is good.
Salome

Ive never disliked an Oliver cast recording. the 1995 revival with John Pryce is outstanding as was the production. sally dexter's nancy is amazing ..sykes,bumble,the sowerberries and corney are all top notch.

the OBC with Clive revill is great...alas Thats your Funderal is missing

the OLC with Ron Moody is strong..Moddy is perfect and Barry (dame edna) Humphries is mr. Sowerberry.

Georgia Brown is nancy in both and she is exeptional..although she is stronger in the OBC.
