After seeing the Signature production of Allegro I no longer consider it a minor work.
BTW I had fun in Monterey, Pacific Grove etc last June finding sites etc associated with Ed "Doc" Ricketts and Suzy. Before leaving, I read Steinbeck's Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday to better appreciate the area and recommend the same to others. ( had already read Of Mice and Men and Grapes of Wrath years earlier).
