Bernardo?I have been cast as Bernardo in West Side Story for the past 3 weeks now.
I'm just wondering, how did your Bernardos in your productions of West Side Story do?
I'm having a little bit of trouble finding a character with him.. I get the overall gist of him, it's just the little nuances.
Help, please?

'Nardo is very proud.. he sees himself as honorable. the ladies love him. he is a charmer..but he is fiercely protective of his sister and his girl.
hopefully they do the version of 'America' between bERNARDO AND aNITA. IT ADDS SUCH DYNAMICS TO THEIR RELATIONSHIP.

"America" is MUCH better between Anita and Bernardo. It's really the only character development they have in the show. Sorry...

The one between Anita and Bernardo is so much better in so many ways... far more compelling, more dramatic, and the other version just makes Rosario look/sound like an empty-headed, ditzy idiot.
