Avenue Q

Avenue Q so funny. Don't you think?

The Very Angry Woman

Why not an in-between option? I didn't like it that much, but I didn't hate it.
Bagel

I saw it yesterday in LA (I've had the CD for years) and the tour is quite excellent. I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time.
Salome

Brilliant show. Totally deserving of the Tony.
ILoveToSing2010

My Take on Avenue Q

Avenue Q is the best time I've had at the theatre in a loooong time. I went twice in one week's NYC vacation, giving up a coveted time slot where I could have seen something else. I'm glad it's finally touring and I look forward to seeing it again.

Here's more of my rantings about why I heart Avenue Q
.
Guinevere

I love this show (CD wise, at least Smile ). I will FINALLY be seeing it in March 2008! I absolutely can't wait! I think show has to be one of the wittiest ones to come from Broadway in years!

I absolutely LOVE this show!! So different from the other shows. Catchy songs, clever lyrics, great book... Yes, it contains some strong language at times, yes, the puppets do have sex on stage... but all in all this show has a heart and warmth! It played here in Helsinki last spring and I took my mom to see it (I had some reservations whether she would like it or not) and she loved it!

I guess what I like about it is that it is funny, entertaining, and most of all original and not based on movie. I feel the same way about Spelling Bee.

Glad that the show worked in Finnish. I saw some clips but I wasn't sure if it translated well...but I guess it did. There are more clips available of the Swedish production and that looked very good.

Yes it worked extremely well in Finnish! I was actually a bit surprised how excellent the translation really was! EVITA played here in Helsinki City Theatre and the translation was painful! It was so bad. So I had my doubts but the translator did perfect job!
