Avenue Q London - Stage door? So, I'm going to see Ave Q next weekend, at the rather late 5.30 matinee. My friend who absolutely loves musicals is jealous so I promised I'd get him a signed programme. But I'm not sure if actors come out at stage door after the matinees, coz it's pretty late and all. Can anyone who's been cite if they do?
Also, whereabouts is the stage door?
Thanks!

From experience, they either run out (quicker than the audience!) or they stay in the theatre until the evening show if there is one.

Ah damn...
I'm sure he won't mind, I'll get him a souvenir or something.

Talking about stage doors, what are the usual reactions from actors when they see fans waiting for them there? Are they happy that some one likes them or do they see the crowd as an unnesery interupt on they way home?

It tends to depend on the actor and what type of day they're having.
Some feel flattered that people actually want them to sign things whilst others just want to go home (or get some food if it's after a matinee).
Having recently performed in the UK tour of Evita, I often got asked for my autograph going in / out of the theatre and felt flattered, whilst some of the "star names" would often be out of the theatre buying food before the audience had even managed to get to the stage door.

Yeah, generally the actors I've stopped have been fine about it, there's never been any divas. I like to think George Miller was bemused and flattered when I said "Dude you're my favourite, Claquesous is the best!"
Ooh happy fangirling times.
