Hi

I'm audition for the part of Aunt Eller in the production of Oklahoma for my final year of a musical theatre course, but am having real trouble finding a song to suit the character as I've just transferred my course from a straight acting version and have a very limited repertoire of songs and shows I know of. Could anyone possibly give me some suggestions? Thanks

You may want to have a look at Mame and Dear World (both Jerry Herman shows). Right period and correct character age.

Possibly also some stuff from Sondheim's forum sung by Domina...although the period is not as suitable.

"Something wonderful" from King and I maybe.

Also have a look at Hello Dolly (some of Dolly's stuff) and the show Call me madam.
