So I found out today we are doing BYe Bye Birdie. I must admit that at first I was a bit upset because I was excited to do Once Upon a Mattress but the budget at our high school just wouldn't work for it. I was all ready to audition for Fred but now I have like 2 weeks to get ready for Kim (my director told me he really wants me to try for her). I really have no clue anything about her and what I need to know before I go into auditions for her. Any info on her and audition song recommendations would be greatly appriciated.l

Kim is a 16 year old girl, who thinks she is all grown up now that she has her first real boyfriend (Hugo). She is president of the Conrad Birdie fanclub, but now that she's "settled down" she thinks she's too mature for a fanclub. Then she gets a call saying that Conrad is coming to Sweet Apple to meet her and giver her one last kiss before he is drafted into the army. She, and the rest of the Birdie fanclub and town go nuts. She forgets about her boyfriend for a while, and he gets very jealous. She decides to run away, but not until after a night of fun with Conrad. Kim then learns that conrad is not good boyfrined material and gets back together with Hugo.
Kim is a very innocent girl who thinks she all grown up. THere, that is a synopsis of who Kim is and what happens to her. Hope it helps.
