I have auditions for Into the Woods in 1 week-and I still don't know which part is right for me! I am tall and tan with black hair and a high lyric soprano voice.

Any female role: Rapunzel, Cinderella. Possibly the Baker's Wife.

I would say you're best chances for a lead are Cinderella and the Witch (I'm not sure how low the Witch goes...) You could also easily be a Stepsister, the Stepmother, or any of the smaller roles (Cinderella's Mother, stuff like that.)

well, i don't have to write down on paper which particular part i want, but i do need to give a certain impression in my audition seeing that cinderella, the witch, and the baker's wife are 3 very different characters- i am a high soprano and most comfortable in a head voice- is it possible that the baker's wife be sung this way instead of belted?

Tan skin, black hair, soprano, are you sure you not the Cinderella from my show?I'm not sure I would consider you for Rapunzel, based on looks, but I agree with Cindy.

Because you're a soprano, I'd reccomend Cinderella or Rapunzel. I've always seen Rapunzel as the most legit soprano in the show, but Cinderella's got some great songs. Since you don't need to specify which part you want, you could always just pick a song that really shows off your range. If your director is sensible, he'll pick a good part for you.
