Auditions for BARE the Musical!!Hey! I am auditioning for Bare the musical in about 2 weeks. I have to do 16 bars in the style of the show. I was thinking of doing Come to Your Senses from Tick Tick BOOM! But Im not sure, what do you guys think would be best?? Im goin for the part of Ivy!

It suits the show but tends to be a very popular choice at the moment for auditions, so you may well be better off looking at something a tad less obvious like Tommy.

Awesome, I'm auditioning in Baltimore.
But. Well, they wanted one musical and one. pop song. 
Just cause the music is so contemporary I suppose.
I'm singing Not For the Life of Me from Millie for my musical piece. It's not the ideal show, but it's contemporary and upbeat, it gives me a chance to show off my personality, and I can belt it like there's no tomorrow.
For my "pop song," I choose Only Hope by Jon Forman (Mandy Moore covered it in A Walk to Remember), because it shows off my upper range and I thought it was somewhat similar to Portrait of a Girl. I also wanted to pick a slower song since my musical piece was up-tempo.
Maybe not the best choices, but it's on Saturday so I'd rather be prepared and sound good then have the "perfect song" and not know it. *shrug*

Nope thats what I need help with! lol I only have to prepare one song in the style of the show, so the first thought that popped into my head was Come To your Senses from Tick Tick BOOM! I know it well and sing it great so I think its a good choice, but if anyone has any better or other reccomendations, please let me know? Any ideas??!!![/code]

I'm pretty sure I'm auditioning for the same BARE in NJ, going for Diane. Have no clue what to sing at the moment, though I am familiar with the songs, so any suggestions would be great.

shut up!! I am thinking of auditioning for this too! If it wasn't so damn far away, I would do it in a heartbeat, but its def an hour and a half away from my house. and I seriously am singing "Come to Your Senses" too. Maybe I should change my song. ugh. It's def. the same production lol. Well I'm just gonna wait and see what happens with Seussical then maybe I'll audition for this even though it's unrealistic and I will waste about 2 hours and 15 dollars of gas money every day. lolsdfgjdsfklg.
