Anyways...long story, but let's hope you can follow along.
To possibly sum it up: Billy Crocker's in love with Hope Harcourt, a debutante who is in a basically arranged marriage with wealthy English Lord Evelyn Oakley. At the same time, Reno Sweeny, a nightclub singer, is in love with Billy. To top that off, Billy's boss, Eli Whitney, is in love with Hope's mother, Ms. Harcourt. (recently widowed.)
Crocker is told to stay in New York while these three to to England for the wedding. Meanwhile, a gang member, Moonface Martin (male,) and Bonnie, (girlfriend to Snakeyes Johnson, public enemy #1,) are waiting for Snakeyes to show up- which he never does. Their all attempting to "make a getaway" on the boat. When Billy unwittingly sends the cops in the wrong direction, (fbi actually, but work with me here,) preventing Moonface Martin from being arrested, Bonnie and Moonface give him the extra ticket and they all go on board- Billy is onboard- unknown to his boss or anyone else.
So the question is: Will Billy stop the wedding in time and convince Hope to marry him?
If you want to sing, go for Bonnie or Hope. I'd think Bonnie would be funner to play, but has more work to do.
