Auditioning for the Show

I am quite aware that this post has appeared a good number of times in this forum, but after taking a good look at them all...I haven't really found anything that I can relate to my audition situation.

A month from now I will be auditioning for Jekyll and Hyde at one of the nearby community theatres. I'm hoping to be considered (and cast) as either Emma or Lucy, but here's my issue:

I am notoriously bad at picking audition songs for myself (or so I am told) and my voice teacher, though amazing, knows little when it comes to musical theatre (as far as shows are concerned.)
So what do I sing?

I cannot sing any of the songs from the show (Well, I could, but they haven't requested it.)

I'm 19 years old, 5'4", dirty-blonde, Soprano/Mezzo (G below middle C to F above high C). I have a healthy mix sound, but I don't consider myself to be much of a belter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking of singing Dont tell Mama from Cabaret for my audition for Lucy or Somewhere that's green from Little Shop of Horrors for Emma. i think each brings the essence of the character, Lucy the whore (dont tell mama is about a striper) and Emma the fiancee (somewhere that's green is about a home maker in the 50's) somewhere thats green is a much sweeter song, so you wont have to belt, like at all.

hope it helps and break a leg on your audition
