Auditioning for Audrey IIHowdy, everyone!
I'm new to these forums, but I've been involved in stage acting since my freshman year of high school (which I know pales in comparison to the acting careers of some teens). I'm currently a senior in H.S. and absolutley LOVE theater.
Anywho that's my introduction. Recently, a local community theater has decided to put on a production of my all-time favorite musical, 'Little Shop of Horrors'. I REALLY want to be the voice of Audrey II, its my dream role and the character is one of the reasons I started my stage career in the first place.
Does anyone have any tips for auditioning? (I'm not sure if they will want me to read an outside song or one from the show.)
All advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have played Audrey 2 on 2 occasions both times I auditioned with an uptempo song 1st time with Shake your tailfeather because I did not know the show, the 2nd time I used Suppertime from the show because I knew it by then. The only thing the Director will be looking for is your ability to handle that type of song. Good Luck let us know how you get on..

Well, the cast list came out today. Though I didn't get the part, I have instead been blessed with the role of Orin Scrivello, for which I am very thankful.
Thanks for your assistance!
