Audition to do a BA in Acting at Bournemouth, what to wear??On Thursday I have an audition for a place on the 3 year BA Acting course at the Bournemouth Arts Institute in the UK.
I have to prepare 2 monologues and that is all. There will be no singing or dancing.
I have no idea what to wear? Dress down? Dress in tracksuit bottoms, fitted t-shirt? Or go for shirt with jeans?
I know that if it were a Musical Theatre Audition, they would let you know, btu I don't want to make a bad impression by turning up wearing the wrong thing.
My Dad mentioned wearing a suit and tie. Is he crazy? Or was I wrong to dismiss that idea?

Suit and tie is absolutely wrong. Dress smart casual, no jacket needed, would avoid trainers and all black and a track suit. Jeans are ok as long as they are smart and combined with a smart top and good shoes.

Thanks, I kinda knew it would be smart/casual, but just wanted to make sure!
