audition soon...looking for help

hey, so I am new to this forum and I have an audition for Beautey and the Beast coming up. I was hoping maybe I could get some suggestions for parts to audition for and possibly songs to sing at the audtion. I'm female, 5 foot 7 with wavy brown hair. I've been singing and acting for years but i dont have much dancing experience. I am a first soprano. Any suggestions?

thanks so much

just thought I should say for clarification, when I say first soprano, some people get confused, my range is solid from about a low D to a high A above staff.

Sorry, thought I would clarify. Embarassed

What is your age, and what type of production is it for? (high school, college, community theater...?)
Well, anyone who can sing and has brown hair, I would say go for Belle! Smile
But really, although it sounds trite, any part is a good part in the show, the chorus does a lot, and enchanted objects are always fun.
Do you have to state what you are auditioning for? If not, just go wow them as best you can and let them decide.
Songs- there are quite a few posts about that already, and I can't remember what people have done or suggested, so maybe browse some other audition posts here. I sang a shortened version of "Just around the riverbend". I thought it went well and is a great audition song, but the director went another direction for Belle.

awesome, thanks for the advice. I am 15 and its a high school production. Im lucky that my school is really good about giving everyone a chance, not just seniors, which is awesome considering Im an underclassman. I will search the other threads for song ideas.

once again, thanks so much!
