I have to prepare 16 bars for my college's Cabaret audition and I can't decide what to do. I feel like I have sung every song in the world and tired of it (I know this is a far cry from truth). I am a mezzo, strong belter. I want something that shows range both emotionally and vocally. I want it to be unique as well. I have looked at various that are really close to the Cabaret style but haven't been pleased either with their vocal range or emotional content. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
