Hi, I have an audition coming up for Fiddler and I was asked to prepare a song similar to the style of the show. You do not audition for a specific part, but think I might be up for one of the daughters. Does any one have any good song ideas? I am an alto/mezzo. Thanks

You'll want to try the audition song thread, dear, since you don't know what part you're going for. They can give you a lot of songs, help you decide what's best, ect....well, you get the point. They know what they're doing. Most of us don't.

Remember, if you have a voice teacher, talk to him or her about your audition song before talking to random online strangers. Chances are your voice teacher will reccomend a better song than we can.

Wel, at the meeting i went to for auditioning, they gave the girls to options. One of them was Matchmaker, Matchmaker. It isnt a hight note song and since you are an alto, try that. It is a fairly easy song to sing ans i am in high school if that says anything.
