I was wondering if the song "If I Loved You" from Carousel would be a good choice for an audition song...or is it too conventional? The other choice was "I Turned the Corner" from Thoroughly Modern Millie, a little more contemporary and less heard. My voice does sound better on the first though. I'm going out for Marian but it's a pretty competative community theatre so there's no guaruntee I'll even be cast.

Any input? Thanks for your help!

Anything Rodgers and Hammerstein (especially from Carousel and Oklahoma) are good. Also look at 7 brides for 7 brothers. Choose something that shows off your high range.

"If I Loved You" or "Out of My Dreams" would work... or "My Lord and Master"... anything high. "Think of Me" from "Phantom of the Opera" is also a good choice for showing off range.
