Hi all, my high school is having auditions for Bye Bye Birdie next week. I really want to get the lead as Albert(Conrad isn't my style. I was wondering which song you guys would recommend that I sing for my audition song. I was thinking 'Put on a Happy face'. Very Happy

Put On A Happy Face is more of a dance number, I would really suggest doing Talk To Me, and keeping your headvoice strong through out it.

No, no, no! I wouldn't recommend EITHER! It's never a good idea to use a song from the show unless that's what the director asks for. What you want to do is find a character from another show that is similar to Albert's character (or whatever character you're going for) and sing one of their songs. It's subliminal messaging, really. Telling the director, I'm EXACTLY what you need for this part. Smile
