audition help

Can someone help me find an audition song for my auditions at the end of January? I'm just going for ensemble, becuase I don't think I would fit either Lucy or Emma. I'm a mezzo, with an occasional belt. My comfortable range is from f below middle c to g two octaves above middle c. I'm tall and overweight...

I was thinking maybe "Storybook" from Scarlet Pimpernel, but would that be way too overused? It's just community theatre.

If it's community theater, I doubt SP will be overused for them. Give it your all and don't worry about not making of the "two main" females; the ensemble has a lot to do in Jekyll and Hyde. You definitely sound like one of the characters I saw singing "Bitch Bitch Bitch" once.

With community theaters, don't be too worried about singing overly done songs--with the exception of something from POTO or Wicked. Once I was at this audition, and everyone there figured that "everyone will sing Defying Gravity," so NOT ONE PERSON sang it! I was completely blown away! Just sing whatever works best for your voice.
