audition for mayzie in suessical

i've looked everywhere trying to find the perfect song to sing for my suessical audition for mayzie, i'm a mezzo soprano/alto and i need to sing an uptempo song and a ballad, i've had many ideas but nothing is really working for me right now, any ideas would be fantastic! Very Happy thanks

this will be absolutely no help because you should not sing this

but i sang 10 minutes ago from cinderella when i got mayzie

Um, this will so not help you, but what's up with Mayzie's auditioning with really inappropriate songs? Ours sang Once Upon a December from Anastasia. Maybe she was going out for Gertrude, don't really know...

However, I think you should sing "Fame!" from Fame! the musical. That's kind of Mayzie-ish.

and i also worked with the director before. so she knew me and my abilities

i heard that they were also considering me for the sour kangaroo.

that's really odd! ha i totally would sing fame, but i already sang it for this director when i was auditioning for footloose Razz it's perfect too, that's too bad :[

Well, if you're good at it, why not sing it again? I seriously doubt that your director would be like, "Wow, I would totally call you back, but since I've already heard you sing this song I decided not to."
